Overview

Let's talk about desks, shall we? Readers of Mirori-HP surely know that Midori-san is obsessed with desks.

This might be a continuation of that!

Flexispot Adjustable Desk Review

You know what? I think it's the age of adjustable desks, so I made my debut with one two years ago. This↓ is a size comparison with the previous desk.

And this↓ is what it looks like after assembly.

It's the E8 model from Flexispot.

It has become larger, so now I can decorate as much as I want like this↓.

And here's the review:

  • The adjustable feature is great. Although I don't have back pain, being able to change my posture frequently is nice. I think adjustable desks are one of the optimal solutions for this age.
  • Having more space feels good, and I can place decorations.
  • It's too heavy. The legs and top together exceed 40kg. This is a concerning weight for the floor, and it's not easy to move around.
  • It's expensive! ...But among adjustable desks out there, it's on the affordable side.

However...

  • If you want to change your posture, you don't need to use electricity to raise and lower the desk; you can just get into the habit of exercising.
  • No matter how wide it is, I keep putting items on it without end. Minimal space is enough.
  • Since Midori-san likes to rearrange things easily, 40kg furniture hinders my lifestyle.

So, after two years of experience, I've graduated from adjustable desks.

In the End, Simplicity Suits Me Best

So, I'm back to IKEA's desk! Ah, for the sake of personal information protection, I've changed the view outside the window to Smash Bros.' Final Destination.

Jumping from a 3,000 yen desk to a 70,000 yen adjustable one was overkill. Around 13,930 yen was the reasonable next step. Not just the price, but the functionality has upgraded as well. Compared to my previous IKEA desk, the top is wider, the legs are removable, and these OLOV legs are adjustable in length. And with a total weight of about 13kg, it fits my lifestyle.
