Overview

Happy New Year!

For Midori-san, running is the cheapest, fastest, and most efficient way to move the whole body. It is a great cost-performance method for staying in shape. And yeah, I made it through another full year.

Last year is here↓

957 km

The weekly average was 18.4 km. Huh, honestly… I’m exercising more properly than I thought, right? In the second half of 2025, I reduced my running distance because “if I run 10 km, I get too tired to study.” Even so, I still managed to get this far.

My shoes are still the same as always: Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 39.

The Problem Where Garmin’s One-Year Bar Graph Uses Only “Today” on the Smartphone as the Reference

When you check the bar graph mentioned above on New Year’s Day, it ends up showing a range from February of last year to January of this year. How inflexible is that? In cases like this, you can fix it by changing the date on the iPhone side.

That means when Garmin’s app queries the server for the data used in this bar graph, the server is clearly accepting conditions like “from when to when.” If that’s the case, then the fact that the app does not have input fields for “from when to when” is just laziness on the app side, isn’t it?
