Overview
Let’s do the annual article again. Last year’s one is here↓

What kind of year was it?
- Played games at a reasonable pace,
- Read books and watched movies at a reasonable pace,
- Made some new friends at a reasonable pace,
- Studied English like an absolute monster
I think I studied so much that my brain gained a few more wrinkles
Ever since I got the Eiken Pre-1 Grade, I’ve kept my study habits going.
Not only kept them going, but I pushed myself about 1.5 times harder, and it really felt like a dense, packed year. …Wait? Did I read The True Deceiver this year ( January )? The second half of 2025 was so intense that it feels like something from last year or even the year before.
…Wait? Was it really just a few months ago that I was grinding to complete all elements in DAEMON X MACHINA? This also feels like last year.
It’s fun to get so absorbed that your sense of time starts to warp.
Good habits
Let me summarize the strongest habits that supported Midori-san again this year. If these collapse, Midori-san’s life will probably collapse too.
-
Regular exercise
-
Regular exercise improves cognitive ability in the brain and leads to better stress resistance and concentration. For details, see here↓
- (2023-03-25)Anders Hansen, The Real Happy Pill
-
Serious stretching before sleep
-
Serious stretching contributes to good sleep and how refreshed you feel after waking up. Take a look here for details↓
- (2023-12-28)Midori-san’s Biggest Discovery of 2023: Neck-area Stretching
- Since discovering this in 2023, my insomnia has almost disappeared. I want to recommend this to all Mirori-HP readers.

Studying English
-
Studying works as stress relief.
- While your brain is busy with an activity, there is no room for negative thoughts to slip in. On top of that, when the activity is studying, you can feel knowledge being stored in your head, and you get a sense that you are moving forward. That really helps with stress relief.
- Also, on nights after I study, falling asleep is especially smooth. ( Because my brain is completely exhausted? )
Have a good year ahead
This year too, I managed to live a life with “few contradictions between head, heart, and hands.” That’s a quote from The Man Who Quit Money!
This book fit me really well. When I looked back at my old review, there was also a great line like, “A person who accomplishes one thing will also accomplish another.” I like that way of thinking. So this idea also came from this book, huh. I agreed with it back then, and I still agree with it now. Next year will probably be another boring year where nothing really changes, in the same way.
