Overview
My old friend Hiyo-san (@hiyo_8) gave me an American souvenir.
"World's strongest coffee" sounds too scary. It's an American product, so I'm not sure if this claim is just for flavor or if it's genuinely strong. The unknown is the scariest!
Looking at the back, it says, "Not a morning person? Not a problem." It's so scary that I couldn't help but laugh. I decided to try it when I could afford to have an upset stomach for about three days.
Death Wish Coffee
Death Wish Coffee seems to be the name of the company. Their website is here↓
Knowing their website, the "unknown" becomes more like an "unfamiliar brand," which is a bit reassuring.
The product Hiyo-san gave me is called "Dark Roast," so it's this↓.
There are over 4,000 customer reviews posted, and the ratings are surprisingly high. It seems that having twice the amount of caffeine as regular coffee is a characteristic of this product.
Tasting it
The beans have a smooth texture.
I'll drink it in my usual cup. Cheers, Hiyo-san.
Well, sorry to have dragged it out, but it was pretty normal.
To begin with, I seem to be relatively insensitive to caffeine. I can't shake off drowsiness by drinking coffee, and I can sleep even after having coffee.
My stomach didn't get upset, and it was delicious, so I finished it in less than a month.
Comparison with my usual Sawai Coffee
What I usually drink is Sawai Coffee's "Victory Blend."
A characteristic of these beans is that they seem to be coated with oil for some reason.
Well, sorry to have written this far, but I couldn't tell the difference in taste.
