Overview

This wild camping trip lasted for several days. For my previous camping experience (in summer), check here↓

Midori's Companion, the Cub

Here's the Super Cub that has been my companion for over 10 years.

No, it's not like I deliberately chose such modest equipment. I'd love to stop tying fishing toolboxes with plastic strings and properly install a dedicated box for the Cub. I'd like to move beyond just stacking luggage and securing it with rubber bands.

I don't have friends who do this, so I lack information. Unlike programming, buying the wrong item can result in a huge waste, so I'm hesitant to dive in.

Mountains and Rivers Snapshots

Now, mountains are my favorite places.

This time, I traveled a lot through the mountains.

However, in winter, everything becomes sluggish. You're bundled up in thick clothes, and you need to properly adjust your attire for warmth before hopping on the Cub. So, it's not easy to just jump off the Cub when you spot something interesting and then quickly hop back on and ride away.

As I mentioned before, winter wild camping was a new experience for me. This time, having experienced both summer and winter, was fulfilling. Starting something new, going from zero to one, is the scariest but also the most exciting, as it greatly expands your world.

This↓ is a "0 degrees" mark.

After returning home and checking YouTube's homepage, I was stunned by the contrast with the bleak winter journey - "A flood of entertainment, huh??!!" I realized when I'm binge-watching YouTube shorts, I'm probably not doing what I truly want to do. The things I want to do in a situation with nothing might be my genuine desires, not influenced by commercials.

The first thing I did when I got home was enjoy a hot coffee after several days. At least that seemed like something I genuinely wanted to do.
