Overview

"MATE" was a stylish guild from Midori-san’s Mabinogi days. It was an invite-only guild, with scouting based on whether someone could make jokes and banter in chat. Everyone involved just called it “Mate.”

MATE had a handmade guild website hosted on FC2WEB, but unfortunately, FC2WEB will be shutting down on June 30, 2025.

MATE is a symbol of my youth, so I wanted to create a new site and move the content, but for now, I’ve decided to leave it as an article on Midoriiro-san’s site.

Mabinogi Guild MATE

Pv maniacs, flashy fashion addicts, trash-talkers, cheaters, battle junkies, crafting nerds—
All are welcome. Bring it on.
A free-spirited guild where anything goes.
But even if it’s dark, keep it clean.
With style, you can do anything.

Mabinogi Mari Server - Midoriiro

From 2025: Making a site by hand with frame tags—so cute.

Group Photos

From 2025: Back then, it was kind of embarrassing to ask everyone to take a group photo. But I’m really glad we did. It brings back so many memories. A lot happened, but even now, I treasure the times we shared.

    • Prime Spot: The log-splitting station just left of the southwest woodworking table. Close and central. Like Yoyogi in Shinjuku.

From 2025: Can’t believe we shared all this inside humor online. But it was the right move. So nostalgic. Honestly, maybe only weruda could understand all of this now. Even then, there’s probably slang even he wouldn’t get anymore.

From 2025: Of course, all the links are dead now. But that makes it feel like a beautiful ruin. Also—can you believe they’re all http and not https? What a time capsule.
