Overview

Doesn’t it feel kind of fast?

The longtime friends of Mirori-HP may be thinking, “Hasn’t it gotten faster again?” In fact, I worked on things like JavaScript loading control and webp support.

Highlights, or Rather, Release Notes

  • JavaScript loading control
    • Well, this is a change so that each page loads only the JavaScript it needs.
    • It is a pain because branching logic is needed, but it is for improving page display speed.
  • Introducing webp
    • WebP is a next-generation image format developed by Google.
    • It is more awesome than jpg or png. Then let’s use it.
    • Because of this, the average size of images delivered by Mirori-HP decreased from 87.7 KB to 51.5 KB, making it kinder both in terms of time and the data usage of my dear readers.

By doing this kind of maintenance, the PageSpeed Insights score also went up.

Desktop looks like this...

Mobile looks like this. This one still seems to have room for improvement.

That’s All

Making pages faster is fun.
