Overview

Continuing from the last post.

I managed to see Hanami Saki's True End!

Story

Last time, we left off with,

What will she do now that she's about to be surpassed by her younger sister as an idol...?

In the end, she was narrowly defeated by her younger sister in terms of singing ability, dancing ability, athletic ability, and expressiveness. However, she triumphed solely with her idol skills. It seems that's what being an idol is all about.

What is this radar chart... Her little sister is a monster.

Progress

  • To attempt the Pro difficulty, which is one of the conditions for the True End, I advanced Hiro Shinosawa's story a bit. Unlike Saki-san, you have to progress with a different character.
  • Pro difficulty final exam: Passed in first place

Here are the parameters at the time of passing in first place.

  • Producer Level: 14
  • Vocal: 484
  • Dance: 1046
  • Visual: 995

The strategy was...

  • Use the item "Iced Coffee" to greatly increase "Concentration"
  • Strengthen attack-type skill cards "Never Lose," "Talk Time," "Buzzword," and "Call & Response" through "Consultation" events
  • Attack relentlessly

Such a straightforward beginner-friendly character. Truly the protagonist. I really liked this character. Not only for the personality and background but also because the character is top-class in both athletics and academics. I love people who excel in both fields. And it's great that despite being a top-class genius who skips grades in university, they still lose to a genius and come second in tests. Saki-san is not a genius character but a hardworking one. I love hardworking characters.

Other Impressions

  • It was really fun! Preparing at the base and then challenging a short 30-minute adventure (production) is a system that can be called roguelike.
  • ...Yeah, that's right. This format of using different characters with varying traits to challenge productions is a roguelike without a map.
  • However, the world setting might have been a bit hard to grasp. The world when you do "production" loops through the time axis, and the world of "First Star Comm" is different from the world of "production."
  • In other words, Gakuen IDOLM@STER is a sci-fi roguelike with parallel worlds and time loop elements!
  • No way!
  • So, I enjoyed it, but since it's a smartphone game, it might strain your eyes a bit.
